RIO GRANDE SAVINGS AND LOAN COVID19 OPERATIONS UPDATE

Rio Grande Savings and Loan lobbies are now open 8:30 to 10:30 Monday - Friday.

We ask each of our customers for patience and understanding as we work through the issues presented by COVID-19 and the rules and guidelines put forth by our government. Our first priority is the safety of our employees, our customers and our community.

Out of respect for others, many are wearing masks, so that they reduce the chances of conveying COVID-19. Unfortunately, wearing masks presents other concerns. Therefore, we will ask for each customer to pause while entering the bank and present their driver's license or another form of photo ID.

We are also working to address concerns surrounding business continuity. That means we have reduced the number of tellers who can be behind the line. This may mean slower service than you are accustomed. We apologize in advance if you experience slower service, but ask for your patience as we put employee safety as a priority. Through the safety of our employees, we address business continuity.

We can also make an appointment with you outside of these lobby hours. Please call us to set an appointment. If you will be visiting with one of our Customer Service Representatives or Loan Officers at a desk, we will ask that you wear a mask and our employee(s) will do the same.

If you are sick, do not enter our lobby. Please use the drive-up, open regular hours (see website for hours at each location) Monday - Friday.

Please consider using online banking and or downloading our mobile banking app with many services available to you. Call us and we can help get you get started.

Update to the Rio Grande Savings & Loan COVID-19 Response

The State of Colorado is moving from Safe at Home to Safer at Home guidelines. Rio Grande Savings & Loan is working toward opening our lobbies.

Right now, we can assist you with your banking needs through our drive-up facilities at each location. You can also view your accounts and conduct many transactions through our online banking or through our mobile banking app.

We are waiting on the arrival and installation of germ shields, new signs and other safety materials. Once these materials are received and installed, we will open our lobbies at all locations, provided there are no new developments that make us change course. Revisit this page for additional updates as they are released.

We will operate under new guidelines when we do open our lobbies, to keep our employees safe, our customers safe and our community safe. I will discuss some of the guidelines here.

We will ask all customers who are sick to please stay home for the safety of the community, but if you feel you need to complete a transaction in person, please use the drive-up facilities. Our employees are also asked to remain home if sick.

We will ask all customers to wear a mask over their mouth and nose when entering the bank and while they remain in the bank. They can use their own mask. If they do not have a mask, we can provide them one. Our employees are also asked to wear a mask when working with a customer or when they are outside their individual office.

We will no longer have bathrooms available for public use. We took this precaution to help protect our customers and our employees.

We will ask all customers to follow distancing measures and we will have signs in our lobbies to help you. Our employees are practicing distancing in our day to day operations as well.

We ask for your support and cooperation as we continue to serve you, while keeping the safety of our employees, our customers and our community a priority!

Business Owners and Commercial Real Estate Owners

Rio Grande Savings and Loan has applied to SBA to make the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loans. We encourage our existing loan and deposit customers to call and visit with us on the PPP if they believe they qualify. There is heavy demand for the PPP and therefore Rio Grande Savings and Loan will prioritize applications of existing customers.

Business owners and commercial real estate owners should also visit with our lenders about payments extensions on existing loans and new loans we can make outside of the SBA PPP that may be of help during these historic times. We will work with our customers on a plan to assist their operation.

Home Loan or Auto Loan Customers

Those who have seen their income negatively impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak should call and visit with one of our loan officers. We may be able to extend your payments, providing you some financial flexibility over the coming weeks and months.

  • We have an ATM at each location, if you need to withdraw cash after hours.
  • Use the night drop. We will be checking the night drop several times a day with a final check at 4p.m.
  • Retail business needing change orders, call in with your change order and we can make arrangements for you to pick it up.
  • Safe Deposit Box entry, by appointment. Please call.
  • Appointments for other services will be available, as needed. Please call.

Message from March 16, 2020

Rio Grande Savings and Loan Association will close our lobbies at each of our locations in response to concerns with the Coronavirus outbreak. We will continue to serve customers through our drive-up facilities, night drops, ATMs and electronic banking services.

Closing the lobbies is not an easy decision. It is a step to ensure we can remain open, even though it is in a more limited capacity, to serve you, our customer.

Public health officials have made strong recommendations for social distancing to further attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19. Hospitals, clinics and our health system overall may become overrun if, as a community, we do not work to slow the spread of the virus.

Appointments are available for loan requests, new accounts and other needs that require access to the bank.
